Students will live in housing, arranged by the University that is located very close to campus. Trained Residential Advisors (RAs), who live onsite, will help create a balanced academic and social life.
Food | Very important for hungry teenagers! The tuition includes three meals a day, with vegetarian options available.
Social Life | Maybe more important than even food, we have you covered here. Science and Technology star in this summer program, but in addition, we have added a rich social and cultural program that starts even before you step foot on the Harrisburg campus. Along with a robust co-curricular program and a supervised residential experience, our Summer Technology Programs are designed to help prepare students for the self-discipline and independence required for college life and learning.
Weekend events are organized for the students so they can explore the city in an exciting, but supervised atmosphere. Students have the opportunity to meet others from all over the country and the world. Current regular events include cultural presentations by local and international leaders, international holiday celebrations, international dances, monthly dinners and monthly movies.
Students will gain so much from their experience. They will be challenged, but they also gain confidence from their new independence and will feel a sense of accomplishment having completed four weeks of real college-level coursework. We will truly strive to make HU their “home” for the summer. We hope they find their summer college experience challenging and fun, exploring all that HU and Harrisburg have to offer.
